Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival is rooted in Caribbean culture. Over a million visitors are expected over the August bank holiday ( it’s second only to Brazil’s Rio carnival in size.) The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event featuring sound systems and parade bands that takes place on the streets of Notting Hill, attended by over one million people annually, making it one of the world’s largest street festivals.

“After lengthy consultations with our strategic partners, our Advisory Council and individual participating bands and sound systems, the board of Notting Hill Carnival Ltd, the organising body of Notting Hill Carnival, has decided that this year’s Carnival will not be on the streets due to the ongoing uncertainty and risk COVID-19 poses.”

The Carnival spreads across W2 / W9 / W10 / W11 in West London. Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove, Wesbourne Park and Maida Vale area
